Shanise

Hello, my name is Shernell! My friends and colleagues call me Shanise. My journey into dental assisting began unexpectedly three years ago after relocating from the Caribbean island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Reflecting on my past, I've always prioritized good oral health and believe it's essential for everyone which lead me into graduating from Westervelt/Anderson College as a level II dental assistant. Entering this field has profoundly impacted me personally, helping me overcome challenges - particularly in communication. Interacting with various people and patients has been both a learning curve and a source of fulfillment, as I strive to provide comfort to patients in the dental chair. While I do enjoy my own company and consider myself somewhat of a homebody, I find joy in activities beyond work and home life. Volleyball has been a grounding force and a significant passion of mine, offering peace and comfort. Recently, I've been enjoying spending time with friends and family while appreciating the beauty of nature, which always fills me with warmth, peace, and optimism for the future.
